Pharmacists are trained to help men treat their erectile dysfunction (ED) symptoms.
A physical examination will NOT be necessary during your visit to the pharmacy.
The majority of pharmacies in Ireland now have a private consultation area where you can speak to the pharmacist in complete confidence.
The pharmacist will not give you a physical examination or ask you personal questions about your sex life – they will just ask you a few questions about:
- Your symptoms
- Your general physical health
- Any medicine you might be taking
This is to confirm that you have ED symptoms and to confirm treatments suitable for you.
If Viagra Connect is suitable for you:
The pharmacist will sell you the product and advise you how to take Viagra Connect correctly. The pharmacist will also advise you to visit your doctor as soon as possible within 6 months of your first Viagra Connect purchase to ensure the underlying cause of your ED symptoms are investigated. Always read the Patient Information Leaflet in the pack.
If Viagra Connect is not suitable for you:
The pharmacist will recommend that you visit your doctor, who can then give you a health check-up and suggest the best treatment for you.
Most pharmacies in Ireland have private consultation areas, so you can have a discreet conversation with a pharmacist about Viagra Connect
Not sure how to ask the pharmacist for Viagra Connect?
The pharmacist will be available to talk to customers, but might be in the dispensary rather than at the front counter.
You can ask one of the pharmacy staff, who may be serving at the counter, if you can talk to the pharmacist directly.
You do not need to say why you want to talk to the pharmacist, just that you would like to have a quick word.
Here are a few examples of what you could say to the pharmacist:
I'm interested in buying some Viagra Connect
I’ve read about Viagra Connect and would like to know more
If you require privacy, you could say the following:
Can I talk to you privately about something?
Can I have a private word with you?
