Taking Viagra Connect as directed can help you get the best results
When taking Viagra Connect, always follow the directions on the Patient Information Leaflet included in the packaging:
- Take one tablet about 1 hour before sex
- Swallow the tablet whole with water
- Do not take more than one tablet a day

Remember these guidelines to get the most out of Viagra Connect:
- Get into the mood. Viagra Connect usually starts to work within 30 to 60 minutes, so you can be ready when you need to be. Remember, you will not get an instant erection just by taking Viagra Connect. You must be sexually stimulated for it to work. You and your partner should engage in foreplay just as you would if you were not taking a medicine for erectile dysfunction (ED)
- Take your time. Be patient and relax. There is no rush. You can wait up to 4 hours after you take Viagra Connect before having sex – it is designed to work within this time in response to sexual stimulation
- Eat smart before you start. Viagra Connect can be taken with or without food. If you take Viagra Connect after a high fat meal, for example burger and chips, it may take a little longer to start working
- If it has been a while since you had an erection try masturbating before having sex to get used to the feeling of having an erection again
- It can take time to get used to having an erection again. So, if Viagra Connect does not work first time, don’t worry. Just try again, but remember that you can only take 1 tablet a day
- If Viagra Connect did not work for you after several separate occasions, talk to your pharmacist or doctor as you may need an alternative treatment
